Holiday Windows . . .

We've been having yo-yo weather here in NYC - one day is freezing and the next is warmed up by thirty degrees. It makes getting dressed in the morning just a bit more challenging - but other than that, I'm embracing the breaks from the cold. Last weekend I took advantage of an almost sixty-degree evening to walk up Fifth Avenue and check out the holiday windows. It's one of my favorite Christmas-time traditions.

I always love seeing the Harry Winston decor. And each year the Tiffany's window are so perfectly pretty. But my all time favorites are the windows at Bergdorf Goodman. They are truly works of art. This year the theme is Inspired, highlighting the cultural arts - everything from music and dance, to painting and architecture. Definitely try to check them out the next warm(ish) night in the city.

RT TIP: Start out at the Bryant Park Winter Village, grab an apple cider or hot cocoa for the road (my favorite is Max Brenner Hot Chocolate), walk your way up Fifth checking out the windows along the way, finishing at The Plaza. If you work up an appetite during your stroll, duck into the Todd English Food Hall for a quick and easy dinner.
