Before Fall, a Mini Spring Break . . .

Fall is by far my favorite season (especially in the city!). Typically I would be posting with thoughts on boots, coats, and pumpkin spice lattes galore. But right now I'm trying not to get too attached because tomorrow I leave for Buenos Aires (visiting my little sis studying abroad). While we're getting ready for changing leaves and cozy comforts, Argentina is whipping out their florals and sandals for spring. As soon as I get back to NYC I plan to fall into fall head first, but for now, I am putting all my autumnal fancies on hold for a little Argentine spring break.

For those of you in NYC, here are some of my favorite musts to enjoy in the beginning of the season:

Walk through Central Park (with a hot drink)
Three-Course Brunch at Park Avenue Autumn
A Weekend Afternoon at the Frick
Make Spiced Pecan Pumpkin Bread from William-Sanoma
Manhattans and Jazz at Bemelmans Bar
Coat Shopping at Zara (Upper West or Fifth Avenue)
Apple Cider Doughnuts at Hearth

I'll be sure to put up some fun posts from BA over the next week, stay tuned.
Happy Fall-ing!

Weekend Must: Be a Light for Peace . . .

Image via TimeOut
If you happen to be around Central Park this weekend you must stop by the Trump Wollman Rink to see the Shinnyo Lantern Floating. It's the sweetest thing. Kids and adults are invited to create/decorate their own lanterns and float them across the water in honor of the UN's International Day for Peace. All afternoon the lanterns will be floating along to live music from local performers. This event has been held all over the world, but this is the first ever NYC location. It's bound to be beautiful. Just imagine all the Instagram opportunities...

I'm off to Philly this weekend but am hoping to make it back in time on Sunday to catch a glimpse.
Happy weekend, have a great one!

Mid-Week Meatballs . . .

Last night a couple of my besties (L & L) and I went out for mid-week meatballs at a RT favorite, The Meatball Shop. It was the perfect pick for a cool Wednesday night. It's so cute and cozy, we sat at the bar sipping cocktails and catching up until our table was ready. Then we indulged in massive plates of pasta with meatballs, focaccia and veggies on the side.

I'm always a fan of a build-your-own menu (half the time I order off menu anyway), so you can imagine how much fun I have at TMS - where you get to pick your choice in meatball, preparation, sauce, and sides. Plus, if you bring your second stomach, after dinner you can build your own ice cream sandwich.

My favorite order?
Chicken meatballs over spaghetti with tomato sauce and broccoli.
Parmesan sauce on the side please.

And if there's room for dessert...
Chocolate-chip cookies with vanilla ice cream. I stick to the classics.

But I have to say, the unsung heroes at TMS are the cocktails!
Try the Moscow Mule. It's the best.

Re-Texturize . . .

I recently discovered Kiehl's Epidermal Retexturing Micro-Dermabrasion formula and thought it was only fair to share this great find with you all. Essentially a facial in a tube, this product has an incredible skin-smoothing effect along with tone correction and line reduction. It's amazing! Seriously the best exfoliating cream I've ever come across. Use two to three times weekly. You'll fall in love with your new skin.

And the best part, shop Kiehl's today and tomorrow and get 3 Deluxe Minis with a $65 dollar purchase or a full size Ultra Facial Cleanser if you spend $125. Use code: REVOLUTION online or request in store.

A&M Football Photo Journal . . .

My Texas weekend was such a blast. Dinner out and midnight yell practice, a campus tour and playtime with the pups, BBQ-ing and tailgating, and then of course, game day. What an experience, the atmosphere was electric! I've never seen so much maroon in my life. It was a scorcher out, but that didn't stop the dedicated fans, many of whom were determined to get into Kyle Field up until the very last minute. And even though our Aggies didn't get the win, it was still a great game to watch. Quite the introduction to college football. I think I'm hooked.

From Fashion to Football . . .

If you haven't already noticed, I'm taking a short blogging break for the week. Work has been crazed and tomorrow I'm headed out to College Station, TX for the A&M/Alabama game. Woo! It'll be my first real college football experience. Ever. I'm so pumped. Between juggling work and travel (I know, I know, rough life), I haven't really had the time to type up some good posts. So in the meanwhile, follow me on Instagram (@tinibeltran) for quick and pretty updates. I'll try to snap some good pics the next few days from fashion to football.

Be back next week!

Happy NYFW . . .

It's that time of year again, when everybody brings out their sartorial a-game - editors, models, and a-listers roaming the streets on stilts, studs, leather, and fur. New York Fashion Week

Image via HuffingtonPost
If you're not in the  industry, it's exciting and fun. If you are, busy period starts now. Either way, for the next eight days New York will be all done up and ready to party. Even more so than usual. If all the fashion buzz excites you, there are plenty of ways to get in on the action. Below are a few tips to make the most of FW sans invite:

Street Style
For starters, go to Lincoln Center and check out the scene. It's a great way to see the best in street fashion, and you'll certainly get more than a glimpse of all your favorite style-makers. Look at the show schedule HERE to plan your visit accordingly.

There are a number of events open to the public including parties, giveaways, promotions, showings, and more. The Guest of a Guest calendar is a great way to stay in the loop.
A few that I would suggest attending are:

Allure Lounge at the Empire Hotel
Style Caster's 50 Most Stylish New Yorkers Party at LAVO, RSVP HERE
New York Fashion Shows, purchase tickets HERE
Project Runway Designer Irina Shabayeva's show, purchase tickets HERE

Social Media
Finally, you can have your own front row seat HERE watching every runway show on live stream. Or you can follow your favs on twitter and Instagram for all the latest trend updates. WhoWhatWear has the perfect list of who to follow HERE

Broadway Week . . .

Image via WideWallpapers
It's the unofficial first day of fall. Why not celebrate (what I think is) the best season in the city with a trip to the theatre? There are so many wonderful shows playing right now, and this week and next, you can get TWO tickets for the price of ONE. Pick a show, invite a friend, make a night of it!

Visit HERE to see all the plays/musicals participating in Broadway Week this year.
Some favorites that I would recommend:

Jersey Boys
The Lion King
The Phantom of the Opera
Rock of Ages

BW runs through September 15th, so there's time to decide...
