New York Fashion Week, Part III . . .

Last night was the American Express Cardmembers Tommy Hilfiger presentation, featuring a performance by Cobra Starship and the fabulously ficticious Hilfiger Family. The evening was really nice. It started with a cocktail party for the guests, during which I hung out in the Amex Lounge before entering the tent.

As we took our seats, style editor Mary Alice Stephenson interviewed Tommy Hilfiger on the runway discussing the Amex project, the Hilfigers, and everybody's favorite new verb, glamping - glamorous camping. The show featured Tommy Hilfiger's Spring 2012 collection, which I thought was a bit of a rip since it's already on the racks, but it made more sense when we were all given $100 to shop Tommy.

After the show, everybody headed to the flagship store on Fifth Avenue to sip Prosecco and spend their gift cards at the after party. Even though this show didn't attract the big time editors, I thought it was great fun and a wonderful opportunity for the general public to experience a show under the tent. And that's not to say that we didn't have some familiar faces in the crowd, including Nylon editor Dani Stahl and designer Erin Fetherston. Check out some backstage and party pics HERE.

Happy Weekend
